I highly recommend Bride at home in Downend. They are such lovely staff and make you feel welcome the whole way through. Nothing is ever too much of a big ask. This was my first wedding dress shop. I was allowed to choose my dressed and the woman there were very helpful and fit all the dresses to my size ( which wasn't easy as I am an 8). An amazing experience! Would definitely recommend!

Ive bought my dress from Brides at Home and would highly recommend to anyone dress shopping. The team are so lovely and welcoming and make you feel really special. Compared to other places in Bristol there is a real homeley and family feel.

Excellent service for wedding dresses - the manager Jan is also a tailor and very experienced, skillful and creative, able to understand what you're looking for and suggest tweaks to designs to get things exactly as wanted.

After having a baby I was dreading going wedding dress shop. The wonderful ladies in the shop made me feel relaxed and I came away with the most stunning dress. I recently got married in February and my day was made even more special with the purchase of my amazing wedding dress from this lovely bridal shop. I think it’s so important to support local business and when the service is as good as here why go elsewhere. From my first setting foot in the shop I received a very warm welcome and the help and service was exemplary. My dress was a little different to the normal white dress and certainly provided the wow factor that I was looking for. The dress needed to be slightly altered and everything was completed and delivered in a very professional way. I would never have any problem recommending Brides at Home to any bride looking for a personal, helpful and friendly service. So a big thanks to you all for making my wedding day so special

Best experience getting my dress from Jan’s store. I chose my perfect dress that was 8 sizes too big for me, but they didn’t bat an eyelid and altered the dress to perfection based on my vision. Very lovely staff and very professional at every visit and fitting, they made me feel totally at ease. Could not recommend them more, and can’t wait to wear the dress in just over a week!

Jan and the team at Bride at Home Bristol helped me at a very difficult time as I only had 48 hours to plan my wedding. They told me I wouldn’t leave without the perfect dress and they made that happen, despite me just turning up on their doorstep on a busy Saturday morning they not only found me a dress, they altered it and made me a shawl the same day.. What a lovely shop. We were bridesmaid dress shopping for my friends wedding and the staff were really accommodating, we didn't have an appointment but they weren't too busy so they made time for us. Very friendly and put us at ease while trying on dresses. The dresses are lovely and can't wait to wear them!

My dream dress!. Outstanding service provided by Jan and her team. I bought my dress well over a year before got married. My Little boy came along so everything postponed! I kept my dress and went back to have it altered with no problem whatsoever. Dress was altered and i was even offered to pick a different dress if the one i had bought didn't fit my post pregnancy body! How comforting was that. Jan did wonders and my dress fitted! Very friendly and no word to describe skills in what she does! Recommend without a doubt.i was Very well looked after!

Jan is absolutely amazing!! After lots of help and support from her as to what style and size dress to choose, Jan has been so understanding and nothing has been too much trouble. I know as my wedding approaches, she will do everything she can to make the whole experience enjoyable and stress free which is so important at a time like this.
